Grandma's in town

It was so nice to have my mom in town the first week I came home from the hospital. She cooked, cleaned, and gave me good parenting advice for Beau. I was very sad to see her go since I knew that I wouldn't see her until February for the baby blessing. Unfortunately I live very far from my family so when I do get to see them it's a very special occasion. Soon after my mom left Justin's mom flew out to help with Beau. She was such a big help, it was also sad to see her go along with Papa George. So until February we will just have to miss our Grandparents!

I'm a Mommy

Hi everyone! I know people are wondering how everything went with the birth, and all that fun stuff. Well I am not going to write about it so if you would like to know you will have to give me a call. But I will tell you it went better than expected! I am doing good the recovery is going well and I am suprised at how little sleep I can get in a night and still function during the day.
Justin is so in love with him as am I we didnt know that a baby could bring this much joy in our lives and we feel so blessed to have such a wonderful miracle during this Holiday season.
Quick little note on how amazing my husband is I just have to let everyone know that my husband is super dad. I am so lucky to have some one wait on me and the baby hand and foot, change a million dirty diapers, always want to be involved in anything that has to do with the baby, and is my rock to lean on during my emotional times. So a special thanks to my wonderful husband, I can honestly say that I am the luckiest women in the world to have such a sensitive husband who would do anything for his family.
I will post more pics soon!

Texas Baby Shower

Last weekend Mary Kaye and Ashley Peay threw me an awesome Baby shower. It was allot of fun, I have great friends here in Texas and I totally appreciate all that they do for me. Thanks to all of those who could come, and a special thanks to MK for putting to good use her Martha Stewart skills. Ashley for subbing in for "Betty Crocker". Abbie for putting together a embarrassing but fun game for all to join in on. And Laurel for saving the day with her awesome breakfast casserole
Great friends!
"Bump Watch"! Abbie don't worry we all know you already had your baby a long time ago so don't go drinking the water just so you can fit in.

Great decor for my little "Wild thing" themed Baby shower.
Here I am opening up some cute gifts. Whitney was a big help as you can see showing enthusiasm as she and I opened up tons of packages.
Thanks everyone!!!!

Texas Fair

I totally forgot that Justin and I went with some friends to the Texas State Fair a couple of weeks ago. I think they have the most fried food in the country at this little event. From fried Snickers candy bars, to fried Coke. You name something to fry and they will try. Justin and I tried the fried Snickers bar, Justin liked it, I did not. I think we all spent about 70-90 dollars just on food. When I think about this I kick myself because I probably could of had a really good steak for what we spent on Corn dogs, funnel cakes, drinks, and of course the variety of fried food. But as Justin always says "You cant put a price on fun"!

Sorry Brittany and Josh for the bad pictures.

Juno

Sorry for the really long overdue blog everyone. Unfortunately these past couple of months have been busy! We bought and moved into a new home, our Internet wasn't being installed for two months. Justin and I went out of town for two baby showers, one in Utah and one in Idaho. And to top it off my camera is not working properly.
Quick update I am 34 wks prego, and I feel like I am 4owks, I don't know if my skin is going to allow me to grow any bigger, but every time I say that it finds a way to. I don't really have any complaints about this stage just that Justin keeps having a melt down in the middle of the night. Every time I get up to pee, he turns over ( if he is awake) and says " Is everything ok"! Yes everything is ok if it wasn't I would be screaming and I would roll over and smack you to wake up and drive me to the hospital (jk).
Last weekend we went to a friends house for a Halloween party Justin and I dressed up as "Juno" and "Paulie Bleeker". I figured there are only so many options you can go as when you are pregnant for Halloween, and what better that a pregnant 15 year old and her track running babies daddy. It was allot of fun, MK sure can through a great party and we even one cutest couple award.
Happy Halloween everyone! I will really try and stay up on my blog, so please don't send me anymore threatening mail.

Baby Beau

Here are some pics of Beau inside my belly, he looks pretty interesting right now. He currently weighs 1pound 30z.
I currently just finished the end of the Twilight saga series "Breaking Dawn". Of course I loved it but I am sad that this is the end of my soap opera addiction of a book. I know Justin is happy to see it end, since I completely abandon him and leave him to fend for himself for 2 days (rough life).
He offered to take me shopping last Saturday when my book arrived that morning, just so I wouldn't start the book and ruin his Saturday. So I decided if he was offering to take me shopping he must be pretty desperate (and truly hates these books), so we went and got me some prego clothes.
Here is a list of things I am loving and hating currently during my pregnancy, I just though I would share more of my complaints.

Hate
1.) Chines Food
2.) Pinched nerve in my Back
3.) Maternity Clothes
4.) Constantly having to pee
5.) Gaining Weight

Love
1.) Anything chocolate
2.) Prego Yoga w/my friend Ash
3.) Feeling Beau move in my belly
4.) Twilight Saga is over so I can stop obsessing
5.) That I have great Prego friends to complain and coo with
about our babies.

*A note from Smitty:

Just in case anyone is wondering how I'm doing during the pregnancy... I'm holding in there. My basic duties remain the same: dishes, trash, scoop ice cream and mood swing damage control.

Current interests:
Vampire books (ha) but a good book to check out is "The Last Patriot," by Brad Thor;
Golf;
Getting my mind right for football season (I think Favre should just agree to play for 16 different teams this season playing every week for a different team, so we can all have a chance to throw something at him);
I am also currently training myself to become the worlds greatest SaaS (Google it) sales rep because I got a kid on the way and need to start stacking that paper.

A new man in my life

So it's official we are having a boy. I went in at 17 wks and my Dr. thought it was a boy, and today at 21 wks it was confirmed. Justin and I are both very excited, Smitty was ecstatic at the apt today when we saw the baby had a willie. When the doctor started the sonogram our baby was spread eagle so I asked right when she started if I was seeing what looked like boy parts and she said, "Ya that is definitely a boy". Everything is healthy and going well, I have very little complaints in the discomfort area. I am starting to get use to looking more round, though I still don't like this stage that I am in because people still are not quite sure if I am pregnant or just a little plump. My clothes are starting to get pretty tight but I cant fit into maternity yet so I just have to buy bigger sizes, and that is still a challenge. I am a cheap skate and don't want to spend money on something that for one is a bigger size and two I will only be able to wear for a couple of months. I have used the "Belly Band" a couple of times but they are so hot especially when it is 100+ degrees in Texas right now, and I am wearing 3 layers of clothing. So like I said not to many complaints I am just glad to have a pretty easy pregnancy thus far, hopefully I will have a easy birth, but most likely I wont get the best of both worlds.

Family Reunion part deaux

This is a good shot of some waves that they were about to run into.

Here's a pic of the gang in some rapids on the South Fork.
Smitty with the big kid's was able to go on the South Fork of the Payette River. My cousin Jared the one in front of Smitty, fell in Smit's lap on Staircase(big rapid) and then fell out of the boat. It was all good though.
Above Smitty in the red boat and my cousin Jared in the blue boat are catchin some good waves.

Here is Smitty in a Ducky that he loved so much when we were on the Salmon river a coulple of years ago, he decided he would do it again.

So We had a great couple of day's in Idaho. Justin said the South Fork was an amazing experience and he wanted to do it again. I only went on the family friendly waves since I was 4 months prego, maybe some day soon I will grow big arm muscles like Smitty(ha ha) so I can go on the South Fork with the big Kids.
I miss my family they are such a blast to be around hopefully some day soon we will live closer to everone, so that Justin and I can go on these trips more than once a year.

Family Reunion

Sorry everyone for the slow blogging, I have been busy. So here are some pics from my family reunion in Idaho.
This is a small portion of my family, but the only ones who went rafting that day. Did i mention that I was 4 months prego and white water rafting!
Smitty puttin air into the boat he looks like he is working hard but he's really not.
Not the best pic but it's of us gettin ready for a rapid, we look like a center for ants.
This is Smitty and I one the first run of the day, Smit's in front on the left, I am one person behind him and my dad was the guide on the back.

Memorial Day weekend

Sorry it's been so long since I have put up a new post about Smitty and I, but I have been busy and I have finally found some time to write a post.
This weekend has been a lot fun, Smitty's dad George came into town a.k.a (Dave). He took us to this awesome restaurant called Chamberlain's Steak and Chop House. It was so good, I definitely recommend it to any one who can afford it the only reason Smitty and I got to go was because it was on George's dime. Smitty and George also went golfing at Castle Hills golf course. The weather was over cast that day so my very "Mayo white" hubby decided he didn't need sun screen, and I will just leave it at that. It's always great when we can see family, We miss you all a ton.
Saturday Smitty and I went to Hurricane Harbor (it's a water park), it was a ton of fun. We got there early so we could try and beat most of the crowd that would be there that day, but every one else had the same idea. We went on almost every ride, Smitty got sunburned again (not surprised). So after a few wedges, weird people, and 5 hours later, we decided we were spent and headed home.
The rest of the weekend we are going to relax, BBQ, and maybe hit up the new Indiana Jones movie. I will definitely try and stay up on my blog, so every one can stop buggin me about how old my post's are.

Island Park

So my mom finally sent me some pic's from February when I went on a mini vacation to Island Park Idaho with them. It snowed the entire time we were there plus some, I hadn't seen that much snow in Idaho in a long time and I've lived there my whole life. It does snow quiet a bit more in eastern Idaho than were I grew up, but that still was one of there biggest snow hits I guess in quiet some time my aunt Kris told us. I had a blast the entire time my aunt's cabin was amazing and quite large, so there was plenty of room for my family plus some(thanks David). We snowmobiled up to Jackson which was gorgeous, then stopped and had lunch at a local dive, which had great milk shakes. During the long snowmobile ride my hands would get tired from holding on to the gas so I would switch off with my Aunt Bronwyn and ride on the back of my Uncle Keith's, who is a crazy driver! But my family cant go anywhere without having bad luck so of course one of the rangers pulled over my dad and gave him a $80 ticket on one of the rented snowmobiles because it wasn't registered, he was pretty up set to say the least.
Times like this when I miss my family and Idaho, there is definitely allot more outdoor stuff to do in Idaho than in the Big D.

Wisdom Teeth

Yesterday was spent helping Ariel recover after she had her wisdom teeth taken out. After the surgery she was pretty delirious, and kept talking about the weird dreams she had and how the drugs were a trip. She recovered quickly but because of her medication was asleep most of the day, so I just played video games and watched TV between changing gauss strips and feeding pills down her throat.

Rock band B-day!

It was Smitty's Birthday on Easter this year. Though his birthday doesn't normally land on Easter, This year he had to share it with a holiday so he had a b-day weekend instead. So on Friday for his b-day I took him to get some good Mexican food in Coppell, we saw a movie"Drill bit Taylor" which I gave a thumbs down to. Saturday I took him to lunch at a burger joint (I also give it a thumbs down) we went to Sprinkles which has the best cupcakes in the world and then I allowed Justin to open his presents a day early. I got him a couple simple gifts because I knew his mom was getting him the mother load! Which she did with a little bit of my help if i do say so my self. Yes folks he got "Rock Band" for his x-box 360, which now that I think about it was probably not the best idea, since I couldn't get him off his video game in the first place and now I feel that I just feed the belly of the beast.
Don't worry everybody we didn't forget the most important Holiday that happened this weekend, we did celebrate Easter. Though we broke the rule of no video games on Sunday we figured since it was two Holidays in one that we could let it slide this time.

Sick of being sick!

I have literally been sick for the past month. I got bronchitis about 3 weeks ago and now I have it again, I definitely think it's being around all the kids at my old job who are always sick and there parents don't do anything about it. So this weekend I basically have stayed in bed and did a whole lot of nothing, so that I could be all rested up for my new job that I started last Friday. But nothing changed I actually just got sicker, and today as I was blowing snot and germs all over my new co-workers I decided it was time to head back to the doctor. I was re diagnosed with bronchitis and he put me on stronger med's this time so that for sure the virus would go away.

My first post

When I first heard about "Blog Spot," and people posting blogs. I thought "Ahh it's kinda like myspace but instead of posting about there Friday and Saturday night drinking binges at the closest fraternity house, people talk about there kids. Anyways I was pretty hesitant about doing a blog, but a couple of friends kept telling me I need to do one, I told them I dont have a hole lot to "blog" about; Justin's and my life is not very intresting, we dont have kids, we dont have a dog, what am I going to write about? But then I figured I actually am not going to be doing this for myself it's actually going to be for our families, since we live so far away from all of them I thought they would like to get better updates than what I usaually give them. So I dedicate this blog to our family who we miss everyday and who live so far away in good ol' Utah and Idaho, and to cousin Nate and Megan who are like family but from another mother.
